40C here today  *is going to fry cooking turkey in the BBQ on the patio.* The pool will provide a most welcome solace. And I shall cool down thinking of white Xmases elsewhere yayhay!

The pool sounds great!

We have a white Christmas here for the first time I can remember. We also have freezing fog, because if there's one thing that Norfolk's going to give you, no matter what the weather's doing otherwise, it's fog.

I can't remember an actual white Xmas in the UK - it's pretty special *squees.* Though if you believe some predictions white Xmases may be the shape of things to come!

Believe me I've been thinking lovingly of snow, cold and freezing fog today - I can't believe how hot it got. The pool - the best investment I've made for years :D

And it's dark now and STILL stinking hot - and now blowing a gale force wind for good measure. Methinks more pool therapy is in order :P

I suppose at least gale force winds means a bit of a respite from the heat? or does it just make it worse?

Day's going well. Just been watching my bro's holiday vids. Hope yours is also going well :D

Wind's straight off the desert - earlier was like sitting in a hot fan! Now, it is cooling things a bit though - I have opened windows etc and it's roaring through the house!

It's really blowing it - things are crashing around out there and I had to rescue the lilos and other pool 'toys' which were festooned around the garden, and stash them in the shed!

Day's just about over but it's been good - a nice rest XD
