Yeah, he's dead. A neighbour confirmed he was hit by a car and was on the road Friday morning - and must have been removed by the time I went along there, looking.

Ah, silly, naughty kitty:P I am so sad and shall miss him so much, and his brother is not very happy either. But I guess with his wandering there always was a big risk of this. At least it sounds as though it was quick. And although I don't get to bury him, I'm glad we did not see him all car smashed.

Thank you to everybody for their wellwishes before. I'm sorry I could not have had better news, believe me :-(

Damn, that sucks. It's good that you have a picture of him though, I hear a lot of stories from the websites I visit where people say they had wished they had taken at least one before it was too late.

He looks so content and happy there, I'm glad you didn't have to see the aftermath, this way you will always remember him as he was when he was alive.

It helps if you keep something special of his too. I kept my families dog's collar, and one of her special treats, after she passed away.

My heart is with you in your time of grief.

Thank you so much for your heartfelt wishes *hugs.*

Life does indeed suck sometimes. But I like to think everything has some positive aspect somehow, somewhere, even if it takes ages to make itself known. It's the only way to look at things sometimes. We do have lots of pictures, and yes, I'm very glad it wasn't me who found him as it is so much better to remember him as he was in life.

And we have his litter brother, Tigger, who looks quite like him and is very cuddly and - unlike Simba - never leaves the house. For that I am very grateful.

Oh my god, is Tigger orange too? I grew up with an orange cat, one from an entire litter rescued from under my sister's boyfriend's house. They where abandoned.

He was an orange long fat ass, lol. We named him Tigger too, he was such a lovable little scrap of a cat. He would sit next to you, and before you even start petting him he would already be purring.

He died of old age within the same week we lost our dog, the one I mentioned earlier, named Petals. ;_;

It's such a strange coincidence to hear someone else named their cat Tigger too. But then again, considering how many awesome cats are out there, it's no surprise that they would be named after such a good character from our childhoods.

Man, I miss them. For the first time since they passed, I actually want to give a home to a new rescue or two. That's the best thing about pets. Even after they are gone they keep spreading the love.

That is indeed a coincidence, even if it is a common name! Yes, here, in the top picture, Tigger's the one on the left. Not as striking as Simba, but very similar, and definitely much cuddlier!

Maybe you will get some new pets now? I agree about the love-spreading <3<3 Maybe after a while I will even do the same - although Tigger has tended to turn very non cuddly and quite fierce with other dogs and cats, and I don't know whether that will change :P

I still need to wait until I get a place of my own first, but it is definitely going to happen.
