I already have a muse in my head for that one, but its part of a longer story and I don't know if I can write just the reconciliation bit. But I could give it a go!
The plot is roughly as follows: Swindle is believed to be on a spaceship which blows up. Afterwards, Vortex feels unaccountably melancholy about his 'death.' He starts to learn certain 'things' - like the fact that Starscream put Swindle up to the spare parts episode, and other similar factors which exonerate the smallest Combaticon. He forms a different view as a result.
Vortex then can't come to terms with the loss, and sets out to find Swindle, refusing to believe he is dead. Which he isn't, of course, but he was trying to get away from the Combaticons because he couldn't handle Tex's attitide any more.
They have an emotional reunion. How does that sound? And thanks *hugs* for the confidence!!
