Notes This is the first chapter in one of several stories about Smokescreen and Swindle, their relationship before the war and its demise. Which happened in part because of Swindle's new job with a certain criminal elite outfit. Well, one member in particular.
It will link into some of the fics which arise from this (still gaps in that so feel free to claim a prompt) and also into the 'Substitute' AU and associated fics.

At this point, Smokescreen and Swindle live in domestic bliss (well sort of) in Smokey's Iacon apartment. This state of affairs is, however, about to be disrupted ....
