Auto Assembly - can anyone help?

So here's what's happened with my AA booking.

I send off the payment, and get a response back: 'Thanks for the money. No problem - but we just need your full name and DOB to finalize the booking. Apparently I didn't give them this. Wherever it was asked for.

Me: 'No worries. Here are the details you require.'

Them - SILENCE

Me, about a week later - "Uh - hello? Is this in order now? As I need to book a hotel - and I want to book the hotel the convention is at, and I know you can't do that without a valid booking. So can you let me know ASAP. Please ...."

Them - MORE SILENCE

Me - having whined to friends on the weekend - another email: "Um - could you PLEASE let me know whether you have finalized this, as I am traveling 12,000 miles to come to this event and I really would like to book this hotel! Smiley face.

SILENCE SILENCE SILENCE.

So here's my Q's: 1) Did anyone else have similar difficulties, and 2) If so what did you do about it and 3) Does anyone know the email address of an actual  PERSON  (rather than a general address) that I could ask to sort this out?

Eternally grateful to anyone who can help me here! You get tons of cookies etc when I get there, if I can 1) get in and 2) don't have to sleep on the streets :-)

Thank you so much for this reply, it was much appreciated. I did actually get confirmation this morning - haha, I thought that might be the case. Life has a habit of working that way doesn't it?

But I am still making up my mind about the hotel, so thanks for that extra info. If I need help with anything else I will most certainly ask. It's a long way away to be organizing things from, despite my familiarity with the UK!

Thanks again *hugs* - and look forward to meeting you and [livejournal.com profile] boreal_forest!

Ah, that's good ♥

That's what I thought - it's stressful enough organising stuff like this (for me it is, anyway) without being thousands of miles away from the area.

Happy to help *hugs* we're looking forward to meeting you too :P
