Snowflake Challenge Day 13
Something much lighter and less harrowing than my last journal entry. And man, am I behind with these Snowflakes, but since I've got this 'window' of no work next week, I hope I can catch up!
Favourite scene - well I don't know about a 'favourite.' There are too many. But when I allowed one to spring to mind, I thought instantly back to the very beginning of G1 Season One, to the episode about Sherman Dam .....
To where Mirage takes out Thundercracker and Skywarp, in front of Cliffjumper. I mean - its sensational! Just awesome! And put to bed forever in my mind any notion that Mirage was 'helpless,' or needed 'taking care of.'
And CJ looks on with starry optics - understandably - which proved great inspiration for the 'CJ getting obsessed with Mirage' fics. All that in Traitor - it was just the rage of a spurned lover LOL
I used to write a lot of Mirage and Skywarp fic but haven't for a while - because damn they're hard! But I did write a fic about that episode, part of which had Skywarp much impressed after, and saying:
................
“It was the techniques y'now, TC! Y'gotta admit - it was impressive. All that leaping around and swingin’ and hanging offa stuff, And when he landed us one, I thought I was gonna fall apart! Awesome! They teach Alphas that as sparklings y’know TC. It’s real interesting! Aint it?”
“Fascinating!” Thundercracker snarled in a way which made it plain he thought it was anything but. The welder he'd been using to fix the jagged edges of his arm - testament to the ferocity with which Mirage had twisted it in the bridge attack - buzzed angrily.
Skywarp, however, could not stop talking about it. “And y’know - that invisibility thing he does,” the Seeker went on. "They learn all that, too. That’s amazing, ain't it? I mean, he could even be in here now, listening to everything we ...."”
TC didn’t let me finish. He slammed the welder down and glared at his wingmate.
“Let’s get one thing straight, Warp …” he snarled. “I don’t think it’s amazing. Or 'awesome,' or 'wicked,' or 'interesting' or any of those other stupid fraggin’ words you’ve been using to describe it. It was slaggin’ annoying! We got our afts kicked, Warp! By some - noblemech - who doesn't even fight. It’s humiliating! And it fraggin’ hurt!”
Poor TC!
